Vacations Close To Monumento Ruta de los Cenotes

This resort is beautiful, we felt like we were in a jungle and it was super quiet. Our room was so clean and bed was comfortable. The only problem we had during our stays was the food. Food was mediocre, not too many options. We didn’t get to swim in the beach because it was seaweed season and the smell was pretty bad.

Gustavo at the elite checkin was very combative when we were checking in because my brother in law and his son needed two double beds and had sent an email confirming that and he would not allow late check out even though the website stated so he tried to up charge a better room but at that point we were worn down from travel. We have been going to riu for years and this interaction was not even pleasant

Beautiful resort. Booked a Privilege Ocean View. When we arrived we did have to wait to get into our room which we expected we arrived early. While waiting for our butler they tried to give us a time share talk once we realized we said we were not interested and that we were ready to eat within a few minutes our butler arrived. We had a great time staff very friendly and helpful. Great service at the privilege pool from Jose L and Salvador. Liked the different pools if you wanted a bit more fun at the activity pool or something relaxing you have choices. Good service on the beach. Ate at the privilege restaurant excellent service from Carlos and Adrian. Had a special dinner big thank you to Annabel. Always found plenty of choices for food. Would of liked the buffet to be open for dinner. Buffet at lunch was always good. Found the best drinks at the Piano bar with Jaime and lobby bar. Enjoyed the late night tacos on the balcony outside of the sports bar with Jose. My only complaint were our butlers, they didn't take us to our room someone else did. Certain details would of been helpful if they would of informed us at the beginning of our trip. Never mentioned to us of our hydro massage or the Ocean dollars. Asked for another bottle of wine never received it. Didn't let that affect our trip still had a great time. Overall the resort is beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful.

The beach... Ive been to 6 diff riu Hotels and i like the beach the best here... The food , the room , the service is all great at all the rous ive been to.
