“The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. “The hotel decor in bedrooms was tired looking however they were very clean. The hotel has a cosy vibe to it. We have stayed here previously and I would happily stay again price is reasonable food is good plenty of choice at breakfast and if you’re looking for an evening meal you can’t go wrong good choice on the menu at very reasonable prices. Had to ask at reception for service at the bar and then ask again at reception for a menu so I knocked a star off but on the whole staff were polite....
