“It's a small lovely hotel. The staffs are nice but they dont speak much English. If you need pick up at train station, call them ahead. They dont answer emails or dont often check messages thru 3rd party. We booked thru Expedia, sent multiple messages, waited for 2 months, no responded. Luckily my cousin was in Tokyo for 3 months of work and she called the hotel for me. Many thanks to the driver. He waited for us at train station very late at night. The food was very good. “The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus!
