“The property suited our needs being ideally situated, and providing comfortable accommodation. The pub had a good atmosphere with reasonably priced food., and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, during our stay housekeeping was haphazard. We had to ask for clean towels and the bed wad only ever made up once during a seven night stay. Although not connected with the accommodation, it was disappointing that the Boatyard cafe did not open early enough to provide us with breakfast. During...

“We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink...

“Great place, the yurt and kitchen cabin had all you could need and was well maintained and clean. Lovely, peaceful surroundings and kids loved the pigs, goats and chickens. Highly recommended!”

“Perfect location - nothing better than going for a daily sea swim at the beach at the bottom of the garden. We had a garden view room with a balcony that looked through the gardens and to the sea - made for idyllic mornings and evenings. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.”
