Older property, common areas look a little tired. However, the room itself was very nice, the bed was comfortable, good coffee and other en-suite treats. Breakfast was decent, staff was courteous. Overall, good for the price.

Had a lovely stay with a grand view of the bay. Breakfast was wonderful and offered early, which can be a problem in B&B style hotels. Room clean and a lovely tub with shower helped the travel fatigue. Lots within walking distance. Staff delightful and helpful. No AI!!!

Wonderful stay at the Queens Hotel, made even better by Firuze on the team who looked after us so well. She was so kind, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. That kind of genuine care really makes a difference and turned a good stay into a great one. Highly recommend!

A fairly basic but perfectly good hotel. Very well positioned in the town. Lovely views. My twin room was spacious and airy. I could have done with being able to open the window more, as I felt rather warm! It was lovely to be able to see the sea from my room and hear the waves. Really good breakfast included, cooked to order. Perfect poached eggs! Great place for a relaxed stay. Just don't expect anything too polished or modern!

Splendid location of traditional seaside hotel. The full seaview we had from our double bedroom was amazing and calming and we enjoyed the mid week craft sale in the dining room. Staff were generally welcoming and helpful but there could have been a few more on duty at breakfast as noone came to offer us tea or coffee.

The hotel is very old-fashioned but I later realized it was built in the mid 1800s so perhaps it’s actually in a very good state. The only thing I didn’t like is that my stay was during Storm Austen, so at night the (old fashioned) window and the entire room was shaking and it was very hard to sleep. But that was, of course, more due to how bad the storm was. Other than that, the room was great. The bathroom was huge and the bed was so incredibly comfortable. The kettle in the room was perhaps not as well maintained as I would have wanted, but it didn’t affect me much when I used it. The breakfast at the hotel was also incredibly good and the restaurant had an ocean view, which was fantastic. The staff was soooo nice, especially the young women at the restaurant (we’re similar in age, so I think we got along because of that). The location was also really great. Close to a Lidl (I travelled alone and on a budget, so Lidl was my best friend), the beach and the train station, so catching the bus to St Michael’s Mount was a piece of cake. Overall a very pleasant stay!

It has an old world charm that is very endearing. Having breakfast overlooking the sea was a highlight as it was very roomy and staff very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much.

A 15min walk from the station, we were able to drop our bags ahead of check in and explore St Ives for the day before returning by train to check in after 4pm. Beds were comfy & clean. Furniture arranged slightly haphazardly but safely. We missed a bar of soap but had gel, shampoo & conditioner in small screw top jars. Breakfast was good but understaffed. Many people waited longer than expected for service and the staff were working hard. We would return.

Wonderful place to stay in Penzance. Charming older hotel with exceptional staff. Greetings from reception, attentive & pleasant dining room personnel, Lovely gathering place for ladies, artisans, locals & visitors. Superb location by promenade, gardens, galleries, bike path & town proper. I’ll always return there, the Queen’s Hotel has my name on it:)
