“Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return ”

“The property was very clean, amd the surroundings absolutely lovely, even despite the heavy rain of storm Claudia. It's an old, OLD building, so some creaks and age-related setbacks were expected. However it does seem that the maintenance team is slacking somewhat. Mine and my neighbours' toilets had poor drain venting, and would gurgle loudly. A few electrical sockets were loose or broken. “I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“The property was nice inside but the room we had was in the old part wasn’t very clean a lot of dust furniture tatty curtains hanging off the rail water stains on ceiling paint all flaking on the walls in the window and a lot of cold coming from the windows really bad stains on the mattress but the towels and bedding was very clean left the portable heater on all nite to keep the room warm”
