Masonboro Island Reserve Vacation Packages for 2026

The room was very clean and updated nicely. Clean beds and bathroom. Only issue was building was a bit worn down and amenities were not usable. Front staff was ok but not very courteous.

Incredible stay! Had some issues with hot water but Sherri was on it. Gorgeous home and delicious food.

Unfortunately, my stay was not pleasant. A large cockroach was found under my bed when I arrived. The room was extremely cold and when I called for assistance, I was told maintenance would come and check it out, but they never arrived. My parking lot key did not work the next day when I went to the store, and I got soaked trying to use it. Had to move my car due to flooding in the parking lot. I was very disappointed that nothing was complimentary with the cost of the room. 24.00 a day to park is excessive for when the room is over 250.00 a night. Not to mention that was the smallest double room I've ever stayed in in my entire life. No microwave, no refrigerator nor coffee maker in the tiny room. I was curious why there was a safe in the room when the guest and staff only have access to the room. Can the maids not be trusted? Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this hotel.

When we arrived the property looked very dated. The pool looked like cloudy lemonade. When we got to the room it was a relief because it seemed to be updated. Not amazing but clean. The bathroom had a lot of mold in the door casings.The first night went smoothly. The second night we got back to our room late around 10. I went to plug in my phone right next to the bed and the floor was coated with tiny bugs. I took a picture and Google lens suggested bed bugs or a type of small cockroach. I freaked out and checked the bed sheets and rest of the room. Only two were in the sheets at the end of bed and a few were on the counter with our food. I went to the office to get the number to call. No answer. I called Expedia and they they tried emailing and calling the property. No response. We cleaned the room with Clorox wipes and threw out our food. We had to spray the bugs with sunscreen and smash them. Then sweep them up. I was told we could get a refund for the time unused so we left first thing in the morning. The property denied the one night refund and did not even contact us to apologize or question anything. Nobody should have to sleep in a bed right next to bugs.
