“The staff were friendly, fun and efficient. A disabled parking space was close by for my husband and the ground floor bedroom exceptionally well accommodated and comfortable along with a wet room! The bar was fun, friendly and busy with excellent menu, great service and atmosphere. A local group of friends informally got together with instruments and voices. Much enjoyed. Highly recommended”

“Fantastic service from arrival, dinner, and breakfast. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A lovely one nights stay - breaking up the journey from North Wales to Cornwall. Delightful area and close to the motorways. Went for a walk in the local area to stretch our legs along the Strawberry Line (perfect). We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, the food was delicious and catered for many dietary requirements including vegetarians :). Several other pubs / restaurants near by also. ...

“The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions.”
