“Great value for an overnight stop over with my family. But the toilet was teeny and no use for a tall person like me! Staff friendly and beds comfy, room a bit tired and no fridge. Good overall experience.”

“Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs.”

“We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed).”
