“Lovely hotel, the communal areas are well maintained and have been refurbished as have the spa and pool area. Outdoor pool was lovely in the hot weather but could have been cleaned more regularly. Maybe also have a few newer sun loungers. The rooms were dated, paint peeling but were clean enough. Service in restaurant was good, and breakfast had a good selection. Check out and check in was a little slow and had to wait for iron and ironing board for two hours and only received after asking...

“We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The hotel is comfortable and welcoming and sits right on the edge of the moor. Good road access to all areas. Bed, shower were great, meals were tasty (nice breakfast selection) and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. There are 2 areas for eating - the large bar and conservatory; the menus differ slightly in each. Nice terrace with parasols for al fresco dining.
