“The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.”

“We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.”

“Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !”

“Check in was easy and the staff were very considerate and helpful to inform you of the hotel and where your room was. The rooms are modern and clean which is great. Some small complaints though. During my stay there was also no mention by staff of there being a function being on the first floor (the rooms back onto the function room on this...

“Great hotel. I had a fantastic stay. Friendly staff and amazing premises ”

“Love to stay at Bedford Hotel, they make me feel like home!”

“Helpful staff”

“Very comfortable bed, nice big window, decent sized room with good facilities. The owner was very happy to help with fresh milk delivered and good suggestions for local food places.”

“Beatiful and ancient hotel, I had a perfect stayed”

“The White Hart provides clean basic rooms at an excellent price.”
