Vacations Close To Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad

Beautiful repurposed historic building. It is a step back in time but monies the fussiness typically seen. Downtown Denver has promoted many of the historic buildings and this is one of them. One block from the Performing Arts center, 2 from 16th Stwith its pedestrian mall and 1 from Larimer. Each was busy with restaurants and shops. Union station is a 15minute walk. Many restaurants! Notably- the restaurant has a great selection at regular, not gouging, prices. Staff upbeat and very welcoming.

We really enjoyed the Milk Market. The only thing that we questioned was why wasn’t our room cleaned during our stay. Otherwise we’ll definitely would stay again!

My first time I’m going to Denver and I will say I don’t think the area that I was in felt super safe. I know it’s supposed to be the art District, but there was a lot of homeless people cruising around outside the hotel which didn’t make me really wanna stay there. When I checked in, I asked for an early check-in and the person who checked me in was super sweet, but put me in a room that was dirty. Clearly hadn’t been turned over yet so then he put me in a new room, but I still felt like the room wasn’t very clean. The floors felt dirty. I never wanted to take my shoes off and also had an air conditioning unit that ran for 24 hours straight. It was hard to sleep at night because of the fan noise. I was only in town for one night so it was fine but I wouldn’t want to make a vacation and stay there.
