We really enjoyed this historic hotel. Be prepared for some stairs as there is no elevator and you may be out of breath if you aren't accustomed to the elevation (we came from sea level!) But it is worth it! The hotel is right in the center of town and very convenient to shopping, restaurants, the train station, the mineral belt biking trail, etc. We parked our car and then just walked (or biked) everywhere! The staff was very helpful and the restaurant was great.

Loved everything about staying at The Delaware except the stairs. Reading the reviews before going, I thought, oh they can’t be that bad. Well, if you’re not a young person, these steps will hurt ya’. The breakfast was great! Ambiance in lobby area was comfortable and quiet. Prices in shops in Leadville have become outrageous.

As historical hotels go, the Delaware was unique. We found the floors were very uneven, and the stairway was extremely steep. An elevator would be nice. The carpet in the bedroom bedroom was a little worn and we found a few rocks on the floor. Parking was relatively convenient. Overall good but needs work. The staff was excellent.

The hotel was built in 1886. If you're going to stay for the history, then this place is perfect for you. If you're looking to go to Aspen during the winter, it is not 18 miles away but 140 Mi away around the mountain.

This is definitely a Historic Hotel. The beds could use a little modernization though. Steps going up to the rooms are super steep making it hard to get up with a large suitcase. Staff was friendly and room was clean making our stay comfortable.

The hotel really did a nice job with the renovation in the restaurant and lobby. It's modern, but cozy. The room was great with a high ceiling. The floors squeaked a bit, but hey, it's an old hotel. It's part of the charm!
