The fact that you have to make a reservation after 12 midnight on the app for the steak restaurant was ridiculous

Food was great, resort was very clean and staff was amazing!

Stayed at the hotel multiple times in the past. Felt a significant decline in service. Check-in process was horrible. Did not seem attentive and did not want to make our stay feel special, which was odd because in the past the hotel used to go above and beyond. Food, resturant staff, poolside service were all good. Issue was with checking in and accommodation. Also horrible experience with concierge trying to force us into a timeshare tour and then try to take away the offer they promised us

We experienced hot, humid, Hurricane Simon the entire week we were there. We appreciated the organized way the management and staff handled the difficult week. It was difficult to be in lock down -- no beach access the entire week except for our first day and last day we were leaving. No swimming in ocean. No pool for 2.5 days. Obviously we are grateful Simon went away from Jalisco, but it still made for along, frustrating week. Thank you Riu staff for your hours and hours of pouring into your guest during a scary week for you too!
