Vacations Close To Nuevo Vallarta Beach

I was a little hesitant because a lot of negative reviews on here about the food. And also on other social media platforms the main reason a lot of people didn't like the riu was because again the food. I have to say the food was the best food I've had at a resort. So fresh delicious and it's served as a buffet style breakfast lunch and dinner! I will say the only down side is they close the pools a little too early, but I also understand when alcohol is around but the pools are open from 10-7 . Also the pools are a little to warm not cold at all. I also wanna mention that the staff is so helpful so caring they restock your mini fridge daily with soda water and anything you need th staff is super attentive. Even if you had a little too much to drink they will take you out the pool and wheel you back to your room or lay you down on the pool beds. The location is a little far from the malecón but uber is super affordable I am super impressed But over all I'll be returning to this riu and next year hopefully going to riu Cancun!

I really enjoy this hotel. The location is great. Beach is nice, resort is small. We did notice it was a lot busier in September than February and staff were not quite as friendly as they were. But I do need to call out a few that stand out- servers- Oscar, Luis, David. And the tall chef at teppanyaki, he was fabulous!! The lady who works at the royal desk is so friendly and helpful. There was a great female server in Royal too. Armando in entertainment is always entertaining and he said everything in English so we understood. Our teenage daughter even enjoyed it.
