“Unfortunately our room had a large cooler ( for keeping cellar , drinks? Cool) outside our room window, no manager to speak to but girl on the bar rang them about turning it off but they don’t turn off ! So slept maybe 3 hours ? Also bed not very good felt like it was dipping on edge , Did speak to member of staff next morning she was very nice but again no management, luckily it was just the one night . “Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. “I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.
