“One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks.”

“The room was very clean and a comfy bed. However VERY dissapointed with the breakfast. Would have preferred somewhere to sit down and eat rather than perch on the bed, breakfast cereals and pastries available just outside the room, but nowhere to sit down and no milk, only found a very small amount of little pods of milk for drinks. However as we didn't use the wardrobe, to store clothes, it was only on leaving and doing a routine check, thatxwe found a small fridge with milk in.”

“The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work. Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival. “Stayed a few times. It’s in need of a touch up but worth the money. The restaurant is really good, with staff doing a great job. Mostly compliments to the stand in manager and the chef.”

“Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend.”

“Clean spacious room. The bar and restaurant were good and the staff were very friendly. Parking on site in a pretty quiet residential area. Definitely recommend and would stay again.”
