This hotel was lovely and great room for a family of 4. We added on breakfast and it was really nice and freshly made. Was good value.

Good check in, good staff, lots of parking. Room was large and very nicely decorated, if a little warm (there was a fan but it was very very dirty and I had to dismantle it and clean it to get it to work properly). Room was let down by the bathroom - there was visibly peeling and missing paint around the top of the shower, and splash marks/spilled...something all up the walls behind the door and by the toilet. The seat on the toilet was also a soft padded one, which was a little odd. Breakfast is extra but absolutely worth the money, cooked to order and very generous portion. Nice tea and coffee in room.

I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. The room was clean modernised and comfortable, the fan could have done with a clean to work better. We left at 5am to escape the heat so can’t comment on breakfast

A hidden gem...

Very clean comfortable rooms, and very friendly service from all of the staff, especially Adele who just seemed to be everywhere! Both our evening meal and breakfast were good quality with plenty of choice.

We booked the family room, we were very happy! With two teenagers, it’s sometimes hard to find a room suitable. Our room was huge and both children had their own spaces, worked perfectly for us! Also lovely to have dinner and breakfast next door, food was very good!
