“Food very disappointing and over priced. Rooms good size and clean we up graded to deluxe with sea view however was unable to use the shower which was over the bath due to mobility issues.Outside needs up dating.”

The staff were very helpful, and happy to help.I stayed in the hotel with my disabled Son, and is very picky eater. But there was a good range of breakfast choose, and I was able to give him good breakfast, so it was good value. I one poor point was the parking, around the hotel, I did find a space, but I have to paid the Hotel £15 a night for parking, and I did not know this, until I booked...

“Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay.”

“While there is nothing wrong with this hotel if you just want to sleep there, if you want food or drink find somewhere else. On Friday night they closed the bar at least half an hour early so we couldn’t get a drink, on Sunday they were short staffed so stopped serving food at 7pm so we had to eat crisps and nuts! The hotel is a long way from anywhere to nip and get food and drink, so please make sure you are suitably refreshed before coming back.”

“Great welcome, lovely room with luxury extras like chocolate and toiletries. Hosts were so helpful, I struggled with the heat so they ensured our room was kept cool and gave me a beach brolly to use. The location was good, not too near centre but an easy 20 minute walk to the seafront and shops. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were fab, will definitely be returning.”
