The place was clean but the photos are showing 2 places. The beds were confortable. The bedroom were not insonorated like it was written so we could ear lots of neighborhood dogs barking at night. Overall the place had everything we needed to visit that local part of Belize.

Undoubtably the most relaxing and peaceful vacations i have ever had. We spent a week there and from the minute we pulled up the staff made themselves available to us. Never overbearing just knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We left feeling like we were leaving friends. Absolutely loved everything about Playa De Sala!

Shaka Caye was truly paradise! We’ve stayed at numerous Caribbean resorts, but nothing compares to the privacy, natural beauty, and exceptional hospitality we experienced here. With only one other couple on the island, it felt like our own private getaway!
We stayed in Beachfront Room #2, just steps from the ocean. Every morning, our chairs, cushions, towels, and umbrella were waiting. The staff were phenomenal—attentive, genuinely friendly, and always making us feel spoiled. We loved chatting with them and learning about Belizean culture. And the food was hands down the best we’ve ever had at a resort!
The wildlife was incredible! We saw dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and tropical fish. Kayaking to the neighboring deserted island was a highlight, as was our private Caye Caulker excursion.
A few tips: Bring LOTS of bug spray! The no-see-ums loved me but ignored my husband. Watch for upside-down jellyfish hiding in shallow seagrass. I was stung, but the rash disappeared within two hours. There’s no pool or 24-hour food service, but neither bothered us. The three delicious meals and afternoon snack were plenty!
If you want nightlife and crowds, look elsewhere. If you want peaceful beaches, incredible nature, amazing food, and outstanding service, Shaka Caye is unforgettable. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Tarpon Sands exceeded every expectation and made our trip to Belize absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made the entire experience even more special.
The food deserves a special mention—every meal was phenomenal! Having three delicious, home-cooked meals prepared fresh each day was such a treat. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and made with care, and we looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The facility itself was spotless and very well maintained. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment of our stay.
What truly sets Tarpon Sands apart is how accommodating they are. Whether it was helping with activities, making sure we were comfortable, or simply going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience, the staff consistently exceeded our expectations.
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway with exceptional service, amazing food, and a beautiful, well-kept property, I can't recommend Tarpon Sands enough. We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return!
