“This is a lovely, clean and inviting B&B - made exceptional by the couple who run it. My room and the whole place felt spacious, the views are lovely (across fields down to the harbour), and also the location is great even if you don't have your own transport. I'm vegan, and not only was there plenty to choose from, but they'd have got in more had my message got through the system soon enough! I had fresh fruit and toast every morning, and having breakfast cooked to order was so nice, too...

“Pros: excellent location right in front of the ferry to the outer islands; top-notch breakfast in the main hotel, especially the porridge and chia oatmeal pots; really friendly and helpful staff available 24-7 Cons: you are staying in the annexe of the main hotel and that’s not clear from the hotel description which I know isn’t the hotels fault entirely but something to talk to Expedia about. This wouldn’t have been such a problem but upon arrival the shore building is a little worse for wear...

“This is a great family-run hotel whose owners and family work their socks off to ensure you have a nice stay. The highlight of the hotel is restaurant and pub, which serves really lovingly prepared meals using local ingredients, good portions and honest prices. The staff are all really friendly and there’s a great choice of local beers and whiskeys to try. Of course, its location just in front of the port with its ferry terminal and bus centre is also a highlight too - just roll out of bed...
