“Well we have really enjoyed our stay here at The Wherry Hotel. Check in was easy, our room overlooked the water and was very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, fans and a radio all included. The hotel is getting tired in places, it does need some tlc in some areas and there was one staircase that did have a nasty smell. “Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on.”

“On arrival receptionist very helpful. Dinner v.good young waiter was extremely busy but nothing was too much trouble for him with anyone. Bed a little soft but v. clean Tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast next morning very good lots of choices. Would recommend very good value for money.”

“We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop. It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay.”

“We had a brilliant stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t fault it! The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was fantastic — really spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor, with a brilliant view across Great Yarmouth. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the shower was hot with fantastic water pressure for being on the top floor, and the big, white, fluffy towels were a lovely touch.
