“Overall, a pleasant stay, although there were a few areas that could certainly be improved. Parking was convenient, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the shower was very good. The bed was also comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing, particularly the carpet, which was covered in stains. This gave the room a tired and poorly maintained appearance and certainly detracted from the overall experience. Another disappointment was the lack...

“Beautiful property out of the bustle of nearby Ambleside or Hawkshead. Lovingly cared for and staffed. Gorgeous views, delicious breakfast and dinner, and a hot shower. Hikes out the door. 5 minute walk to Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top. We hope to return.”

“I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. “We were greeted by Victor, very friendly and welcoming, who showed us to our room, a small double but very clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. We had a lovely view of Todd Crag which we were climbing the next day. Breakfast was amazing, a good selection of cereal, yoghurt, fruit and even cakes! My husband had the full English and I chose the smashed avocado on toast with poached egg. We were served by friendly and efficient Joanna who took the trouble to remember our names! The...
