“I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”

“The amenities in the room are excellent with lovely bath products and a well stacked tea/coffee tray which includes illy coffee- my favourite. The food is very good ‘pub grub’ with an excellent wine list. Large outside sitting spaces to enjoy the best of the British weather and cozy indoor spaces if the weather is not the best.”

“We liked where it was .very handy to some lovely places.we were visiting family so we didn’t eat there.The was okay for the price. Cleaning was not up to standard lots of dust on the ledges and the windows were mouldy.”

“Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream.”

“The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.”

“Very friendly staff, large room and varied breakfast options. Only downside was the soundproofing in room wasn’t brilliant. We could clearly hear people walking around upstairs and as we have a child, the lady next door started banging on the wall as soon as he made a slight noise.”
