“This place is a real gem. Double room at rear of Inn away from main road, Bed very comfortable - lovely bedding. Bathroom very good/clean - would benefit from somewhere to put down toiletry bags etc. beautiful huge white fluffy towels provided. Shower would also benefit from somewhere to put down toiletries etc. Restaurant excellent, lovely ambiance, food plentiful and very good although chips a little too crispy. “The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. The village was lovely too and the location made easy access to Montgomery and Welshpool. A great base for people touring that area. Wish we could have booked for...

“Rooms were clean with comfortable bed . Bathrooms were spacious, nice, and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located in the center city . Hotel had a huge bar with indoor and outdoor sitting areas. We had breakfast and dinner there. Limited menu but quality food. Only drawback is lack of porter and elevator. Avoid this hotel if are traveling with large suitcases or have mobility issues.”
