Nice hotel in a great location

The lobby, restaurant, staff and amenities were great. Our room faced a building so not a great view and the shower curtain didn’t keep the water from going on the floor. The bed was super comfortable and the room nicely decorated. Overall I enjoyed our stay but would make sure to get a room with a better view next time.

Beautiful property with lovely restaurant but rooms are small/tight compared to other luxury hotels. AC system was loud and inefficient. Reminded me of old Marriotts from 1990’s. Butler is a nice concept but slow responses $10 coffee was good but….seems a bit much. Good location. Overall there’s other nice hotels we’ve enjoyed that are superior to this hotel and less expensive

Absolutely wonderful location and Hotel. We loved it here and we’ll definitely be back. Right across the street from the Boston Commons was extra special.

The room was filthy, dust everywhere and urine all over the toilet. After a transatlantic flight it’s not what you want! We were moved room but it too was dusty. I complained and they said they would arrange a refund of sorts. Not heard anything back at all. The shower didn’t work - was a trickle and the air conn was crazy loud. I had dirty plates and cutlery (which weren’t mine) outside my room the 5 days I was the there. The staff were rude and unhelpful. All this and it was $750 a night. I was ripped off.

Terrible experience. Family of five with three youngsters. Despite being loyal to the MO brand for years, this Boston property is by far one of the worst we have stayed at. To start, there were blood stains on the room carpet. Two rooms on the same floor were confirmed by staff when the booking was made, yet they were not available at check-in. Room service trays sat outside of rooms for hours without being collected. The bathroom was outdated, and the air conditioning was noisy. Overall, the property looked more like a Holiday Inn than a Mandarin Oriental. We will never come back.
