“My and my friends stayed for 2 night , staff were very nice and helpful. Walking distance everything you need. Good pubs and restaurants and of course Cathedral and castle. Breakfast was excellent with amazing views. Parking is a little bit of tricky.”

All was going well and the receptionist said that we were lucky as our room was air conditioned, while others were not. “Very good view of the cathedral. Carpets, fixtures and furnishings worn. Mattress was old, springs were gone and made for an uncomfortable and mostly sleepless night. Grout in bathroom missing in areas, slow draining shower, shower head needs cleaning. Staff working hard in a difficult situation.”

“The room opens directly onto the carpark, which was great as it made it easy to unload/load the car, also we could keep the door open so cool down the room (it was hot when we stayed). The staff were friendly and helpfully. Each nigh we were asked to prebook our breakfast, stating what time we wanted it, the following morning the breakfast was waiting for us perfectly cooked.”
