“Nos alojamos en el hotel Bamboo en Sapa, en los montes del norte de Vietnam, el sabado 3 de septiembre y salimos el 4. “We were touring around Vietnam and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. We arrived in on the 6am sleeper bus from Hanoi and the allowed us to check in straight away to freshed up before our day trekking without any extra charge. They showed us 2 rooms and let us choose which one we wanted. Both had very good views and both were spacious and clean. “The hotel is very near from the center of Sapa. We arrived at 8 AM and they let us check-in even though the check-in time was 2:00 PM. The view from the room was spectacular. The room itself was nice, nothing too special. No lift in the hotel which is a little weird. The entrance is on the 5th floor and the room above have very nice view. The restaurant is marked Halal though they serve alcohol and pork. The breakfast was good though there were not many choices.”

“Was it really a homestay if they have european toilets and shower plus no interaction between homeowner and guest? Also about 20 beds available for a 'homestay' and guests are served pancakes for breakfast - not the true vietnamese breakfast the family was enjoying 10 metres from us.Calling it a back to basic bed and breakfast or guesthouse would be much more accurate.The whole homestay concept is totally overrated and should be avoided.
