Smoke Free Hotels in Sichuan

"When we arrived at the hotel the reception asked us a series of questions, and then subsequently found no record of our stay. They then told me the "back stage" staff who is in charge of online bookings is on a holiday due to the 1st May Golden Week in China. They took multiple shots of my booking details off my phone, and made us wait for around 25 minutes for the rooms. They spoke and read a minimum level of English and offered no apologies on the hotel’s behalf. Their attitude is somewhat...

"Staff very welcoming, curtious and efficient. Room was spacious and spotless. Very near a Chengdu metro station so very accessible to many tourist locations. Would certainly return. "

"Staff does not speak english and it is very difficult to get help and tips for the city. We had requested a non-smoking room with two twin beds however when we arrived at 1 am we found a smoking room with one bed. We were almost an hour insisting for a better room. Breakfast not bad but very little options for foreigners."

"This hotel is great for restaurants but the shopping and sights action is about 6 Metro stops away. Lack of English amongst the staff made life really difficult. it seemed harder than other places we've stayed at ! The food was at best OK and the breakfast (included in price) was purely Chinese and , whilst I knowe were in China , a cup of tea would have been nice."

"The staff was quick to help during check in and check out, but upon arrival, the rooms were very cold. Why? Because the windows and doors were left wide open for every room on each floor. It did not feel safe walking into my room when it was propped open by the luggage rack. How about if someone was in there? "
