Could be great with a little tweak

This hotel is great for restaurants but the shopping and sights action is about 6 Metro stops away. Lack of English amongst the staff made life really difficult. it seemed harder than other places we've stayed at ! The food was at best OK and the breakfast (included in price) was purely Chinese and , whilst I knowe were in China , a cup of tea would have been nice.

Excellent Hotel

I am from Singapore and have stayed in this hotel 3 times in the last 3 months for business meetings and each visit was for about 7 days. This is a local Chinese owned Chinese Western fusion style hotel located in the heart of Chengdu city. The location is near perfect, rooms are tastefully and nicely decorated, clean, spacious with wonderful bathroom/toilet facilities. To top it off, it also offers free high speed wireless internet access in the room. Staff service is first class compared to most international hotels and the food served at the coffee house is fair. So far the best experience ever compared to my stay in any other 5 star international hotels in the same city. Bonus - Just beside the hotel is a the popular Singapore owned Modz pub that offers great live English and Chinese music. It also has an exciting selection of imported wine and spirits, and a delightful spread of delicious Singapore food such as Hainanese Chicken Rice as well as delicious Laksa.
