There are far better dining options with much better quality food at lower prices in town. You must have a car or use taxi/uber as there are no paved areas on the roads surrounding the hotel and walking is perilous. "

"The hotel is perfectly positioned about the natural pools and we had a lovely 6 night stay here, using it as a base to explore the island. Our room looked out over the ocean with fantastic views from the balcony. Housekeeping was very efficient and our room very clean and comfortable. "We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre.
