Hotel with wifi in Hikkaduwa

"Brilliant setting, we had toured the whole island and this was probably the best hotel we stayed at. Staff were so observant of your needs. Food very good. Have done creature comforts for the Brits especially when your curried out and want a shepherd's pie or a roast but still have all of the Sri Lankan food. Rooms are colonial style, very nice. "The hotel is dated & needs a revamp. The first room was old, musty & tired. Water marks on the walls, very tired bathroom & poor fittings. The 2nd room was an improvement on the first although dated. Staff were friendly & amenable. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful but lacked variety. Pool area was clean & safe, although hogging of sunbeds started early 0600! Overall was a satisfactory stay however there are better value hotels along the same stretch of road. "
