“A great place to take a break along the way, enjoy the restaurant and its great staff, and really close to the city of Oxford.”

“Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room. We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. The coffee machine still contained water and used pods from the previous...

“Very friendly staff both at front desk and in the restaurant for breakfast. But rooms don’t have A/C and with the heat wave it was surely missed!”

“No hay detalle sin cubrir en este acogedor hotel con un entorno soñado, todo parece de cuento. Todo excelente! Súper recomendable comer en el bar!!!”

“Beautiful grounds and garden. Helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast. Only complaint, the front entrance is locked a little early for a Saturday evening, took 2 calls to get the entrance opened. But would recommend.”

“Have just spent a wonderful two nights at Sturdy Castle. Perfect location to explore the stunningly beautiful Cotswolds. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the reception and restaurant area was and how lovely the staff were. Offered option of breakfast and evening meal which we booked. The rooms were located at the back of the hotel ,so nice and quiet and spotlessly clean with everything that we needed. Dinner was lovely with friendly staff happy to talk through both the pub...

“Muy buen desayuno y comida. Personal amable. Habitaciones cómodas y tranquilas.”

“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“Staff were particularly helpful.”

“La propiedad es muy bonita y la ubicación es privilegiada en los Cotswolds, específicamente en Lower Slaughter junto a un río y a unos pasos del molino y de senderos rurales. El pub que tiene el hotel es muy cómodo y cuando hace buen clima tienen un jardín con un food truck y bancas para disfrutar el día. La habitación estuvo muy cómoda y limpia, con suficientes enchufes y muy amplia. La comida estuvo buena sin ser nada especial. Todo el personal fue muy amable.”
