“Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room. We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. “Have just spent a wonderful two nights at Sturdy Castle. Perfect location to explore the stunningly beautiful Cotswolds. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the reception and restaurant area was and how lovely the staff were. Offered option of breakfast and evening meal which we booked. The rooms were located at the back of the hotel ,so nice and quiet and spotlessly clean with everything that we needed. Dinner was lovely with friendly staff happy to talk through both the pub...

“Hotel agradable con un pub de buena cocina (aunque no barato). La habitación es muy cómoda y está en buen estado, el baño también muy limpio y nuevo. Insonorización mala respecto a la habitación de al lado pero lo normal en hoteles de éste tipo. Un par de notas importantes: -Nuestra visita fue en noviembre y sí se puede aparcar en el propio hotel, por lo que leo en otras estaciones hay que aparcar fuera. -El desayuno incluido es frio aunque muy suficiente (pan de calidad, yogur, muesli,...

“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“La propiedad es muy bonita y la ubicación es privilegiada en los Cotswolds, específicamente en Lower Slaughter junto a un río y a unos pasos del molino y de senderos rurales. El pub que tiene el hotel es muy cómodo y cuando hace buen clima tienen un jardín con un food truck y bancas para disfrutar el día. La habitación estuvo muy cómoda y limpia, con suficientes enchufes y muy amplia. La comida estuvo buena sin ser nada especial. Todo el personal fue muy amable.”
