“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. “BED BUGS!!!!!! Room 9 infefected with BED BUGS!! Bitten alive staying in room No9! AVOID I reported this expecting the hotel to take it seriously, deep clean the room, and protect future guests. Unfortunately, the response was shocking. Receptionist, couldnt care less, said unsure what the policy is and someone would call me back. 1x week later no phone call or communication. Called back again, receptionist this time did apologise, but said the duty manager is very busy with event this weekend...

“We went with our children, who are 5 and 2. The family room we stayed at was big and spacious, so was the bathroom. All beds were comfortable, and they even had a cot ready for our 2yo. The children had a blast playing at the large play area while seeing the goats and alpacas. Breakfast was included and it was pretty good. The only downside was that, even though they have wifi, we had no signal in our room, so we could only go online (wifi or otherwise) at the restaurant and common areas.”

“I booked the hotel after reading that Bath was a 20minute walk away (my wife uses sticks to support walking). Imagine our surprise when it is actually a 50minute walk. The duty manager did tell us it was about a 45 minute walk. All the staff were polite and helpful. The ‘lodge’ room was cosy (read small) but it had everything you needed. We couldn’t actually connect to WiFi. The HUGE sink made it difficult to sit on the toilet but the shower was large and quite powerful. The breakfast was ok,...
