Vacations Close To Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum and Education Center

Cash only mandatory charge of $3 for a modern hotel that costs over $500 for one night is nonsense/inconvenient. Check in kiosks do not work. 30 minute wait to check in. Privacy curtain in room missing. Toilet water runs endlessly. TV antiquated, no casting ability. Have stayed many times before and experience is steadily declining, not improving. Could use some customer experience expertise.

Rooms were not cleaned both mornings, on the second day we had to call and ask. Beds were unmade. Furniture and carpets in very poor condition. Toilets with stains in the bowl. No fans in the bathroom so showers are very steamy. We had 2 rooms, neither was in good shape. Poorly maintained elevators. A lot of damage, scuffs, corners of the carpets were very dirty.

Chambres très vétustes mais propres. Personnel gentil. Pas de petit déjeuner ou de café. L’emplacement est par contre génial. Quartier très beau et très sur, pratique pour le métro, central park. Beaucoup d’options de restauration à proximité mais chères.

Although the property was well kept and comfortable the amenities were sub par in comparison to other resorts we have stayed in the past. The food was overpriced for the quality and the in room dining hours were not offered during the scheduled time on the website and/or tv. Loved the roof top bar it was very scenic.
