We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva 10 years ago on our first trip to Cancun and loved it. We thought it couldn't be topped. We stayed at a couple of other (cheaper) Cancun resorts afterwards and they were not as good as the Ziva.
Well, the Majestic Elegance topped them all. Excellent service, everyone was extremely nice and helpful, the butler was extremely helpful and quickly got a couple of small items fixed in our room, and the property is just beautiful. The buffets were good (not great), but all the made-to-order food and restaurants were great. We just wish we could have stayed longer than a week.
