The section at the back overlooking the river is a nice place to sit out with a book. Good service here, and the owner was able to post my glasses on to me when I left them behind by accident.
Very quiet, friendly staffs, and cozy room! The staff gave us totally the opposite direction to where our room actually was, but she offered to give us an available room that was near us rather than having us walk all the way back. I was actually thankful since we had a very long ride and too tired. ...
I thought the location of the property was great and close to downtown eatery's
Great location. Rooms dated-old but clean (except hair on bath tub drain. Room only heated by old fashion steam radiator.
accommodations were good, clean. good choice very near the beach and downtown.
The hotel was very nice and clean. We were given a complimentary balcony view which was awesome and allowed natural sunlight to enter the room.
Room was nice separated room for second bed was good with door. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was poor. Better off walking into town and finding something there. Parking was difficult. Had to park on street one night.
Loved the room with the fire place and balcony. Bed was comfortable. I like old hotels that have charm and decor. Close walking distance to Ocean Ave. and beach. Free parking. Kept the fireplace on all night. Only complaint was the a young family with little kids decided to get in the heated pool ...
It was located within walking distance to downtown Carmel and Mission Ranch. We walked both. Gretchen and Doug were very gracious and our cottage was amazing. We plan to return.. Ed and Dolores Sherry
Great location, Very clean, kind staff and our room had a wonderful fireplace at foot of bed! Relaxing getaway for my wife and I...we will definitely be back!!
Very cozy and clean. Our room (#5) was quite compact but functional. The furnishings and bedding clean and comfy! Giant black widow hanging upside down outside on the entry was the only drawback of our stay.
The family rooms were spacious and comfy, bath was huge - we all tried it - and the view from the terrace beautiful.
Great location, spacious rooms; breakfast service was great. Great to have parking right underneath the building as well
Absolutely loved staying here! Carmel is a dream and this property is perfectly located!
Old hotel. Some good things. Some not so good things. Restaurant top-notch.
Perfect location for walking to the amazing beach, restaurants and shopping. However, our (affordable) room was uncomfortably small and dark.
Amazing— my girlfriends have been going and staying here for past couple of heads and love it!
