“Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? Two of us went for breakfast after 9 and was refused. Chef was only able to make a bacon sandwich. Coffee was thick and gloopy and undrinkable . “Check-in and out were quick and friendly. The staff were busy but always pleasant and willing to help. My dinner was OK and breakfast excellent. The room was clean, my mattress a little lumpy and a fan would have been useful during the unusual heat wave. Overall I would definitely recommend the White Horse to any visitor.”

As an oldie, I found the shower really hard to deal with: no signs to tell you which knob controlled the temperature, so I had to stand under almost scalding water trying out both kmobs in both directions to adjust it .
