Photo "Coldham Hall Tavern. The Wherryman's Way leads past here but the Tavern is presently closed down (future uncertain). For a riverside view see > 812171. Update: The pub was re-opened in March 2010. This section of the Wherryman's Way long distance footpath turns off The Street in Surlingham, leading northwards first along Beerlick's Loke and then following a narrow footpath, emerging by the Coldham Hall Sailing Club clubhouse on the River Yare. Here it veers easterly towards Coldham Hall Tavern before turning back onto itself and to The Street. The Wherryman's Way > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1340030 is a 35-mile long distance footpath following the route of the Broads trading wherries between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. The route takes its name from the wherry - a large cargo-carrying barge whose black sails used to be a common sight on these waters. Ten circular village walks branch off this path along the way." by Evelyn Simak (Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0) / Cropped from original
