“Lovely bnb, right in the middle of Marlborough. Our room was very well appointed, with a small but perfectly adequate shower-room. Very good breakfast. ”

“Not a good experience. I was unable to shower for most of my stay. 1st night - no cold water 2nd night - no hot water 3rd night - no water at all Every time I called reception about it, the responses were dismissive “we know, we’ve called a plumber”. The bed, whilst ok comfort wise, had ill-fitting sheets that revealed bare foam rather than an actual mattress, a headboard that moved if you sat up against it, and I woke with a number of bites. “We stayed in the coach house which was ideal for us with our dog. Dinner - fish and chips was good and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were really accommodating and made us welcome. Really good atmosphere in the bar which was well populated with locals.”

“It has a lot of character and is clearly steeped in history but it is not the most comfortable “set up”. The room was tired and the carpet “grubby”. It was warm and the washroom had been renovated. Thr room overlooked the Main Street and at times was very noisy. I’m sure some people will find it interesting, but we did not expect such a quirky stay.”
