Vacations Close To Botanical Garden Arboretum Oudenbosch

Loved the room. Great kitchen set up and. Slept well in the bed. Easy commute from the hotel (its a 2 minute walk to the starion) via the train to go about the city, the tram and buses run next to the hotel as well. The bike rental price is fair. Didn't use the gym but its a responsible size and has decent amount of equipment to use. Would stay again.

I had stayed in a Social Hub in Madrid and found it to be an excellent alternative to main stream hotels. The one in Amsterdam was not the case. The location for this hotel is not very good. We were assigned a handicap accessible room without requiring nor requesting one. They did change our room but unfortunately the air conditioning in that room did not work. When I enquired at the desk I was told that none of the rooms had air conditioning because it was illegal in Europe to have AC. This is of course false. The rooms were climate controlled except our room was about 25-28 degrees even though the thermostat was set to 18. They said they would send someone but never did. We survived by opening the window and luckily the fall weather kept the room comfortable for sleeping. We did not spend any daytime hours in the room. Overall, for the money we paid, we could have had a much better hotel room, closer to the city centre and in a safer, more friendlier area. I do not recommend staying at this location.

All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of freshly cooked items along with many other breakfast selections such as fruits, yogurt, breads etc. Clean rooms, good showers and comfortable bed. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

We were a bit surprised by the stairs in our room which separated the bathroom from the sleeping area. A bit tricky using the bathroom in the middle of the night. It would have been helpful knowing this in advance. We also opted out of housekeeping for our 2 day stay and received a 10 euro food voucher. If I were to return I would take the housekeeping service. We ran out of liquid hand soap before the end of the 2 days- which was attached to the wall. We also ran out of tissues. If the hotel is promoting the program, they should ensure there are adequate supplies for the guests. We ordered clean towels and tissues on our 2nd day. The hotel is located in an excellent area close to the train, restaurants, and shopping. They stored our luggage after check out which was helpful.
