“It's a pretty setting and the room was clean. They seemd a little short staffed and, although the food was good, the tables were dirty and (bizarrely) the host told us the half empty restuarant was 'fully booked'. When we saw many empty tables, we asked the bar tender if it would be possible to order food and he was happy to oblige! Also, the lighting in our room was broken, the only way to have light was to keep the harsh overhead light on. The receptionist promised to send a service person but...

“The dark haired gentleman that served us was wonderful at his job. He was kind and laughed as we arrived from a late train to quickly change outfits in the toilets and run off to not miss our show with promise to return and check in properly. He took it in stride and when we returned hours later he had sorted our bags and welcomed us with joy. We had a wonderful dinner, drinks and dessert before tucking in our cozy, clean and safe home for the night with his assurance that should anything go...
