“Liked everything with one exception. We had booked a superior double room. Upon arrival we were told we were being upgraded. The room was dominated by a super king size bed. There were 4 large lamps and 2 overhead bedside lamps. However no chair and no fridge. I enquired and unfortunately they did not have a spare fridge. I expected a chair and fridge in a superior room.”

“We loved our stay at The Fig Tree. The room was very clean, updated and comfortable. It’s a great location and we really enjoyed the free breakfast. Often times a free breakfast is a buffet where food is sitting out, but we loved being able to order from a menu and it was delicious as well. I would definitely stay here again.”

The breakfast menu was more than adequate, enabling a cooked breakfast, cereal or fruit every day. The quality of the breakfast was excellent. “We found it difficult to describe this as an Hotel. The Cafe only opens on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday and closes at 5pm. There is no Bar and no restaurant. The place needs a lot of TLC and maintenance. With regard to the accommodation we were allocated room 5 on the ground floor which is quite dark due to the proximity to the window of a vertical bank and wall above . As we intended spending most of the time out and about this was not a big issue. The main problem was evident the following morning...
