“Why stay at a big box hotel/motel when boutiques like this one are available? We were welcomed by the front desk in a manner unlike any other hotel we have stayed at and offered a choice between a room with a 4th floor view or a room with a TV. We picked the room with a view overlooking the marina in a very walkable downtown area. The hotel and rooms were decorated with antiques rather than the usual hotel/motel industrial furniture. “I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. ”

“It was fine, house was cute but filled with Knick knacks which kind felt like staying at your grandmas house. Like look but don’t touch anything. Not sure what they meant by walk to old town, everything we did for food, etc was 8-10 minute drive. The streets have no street lights so walking anywhere at night was out. Worked as a base to visit redwoods np and tidal pools which is what we wanted”
