“As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”

“We arrived late and left early so didn’t get to experience breakfast or much of the outside but all staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable and room was perfect for our quick stop over. ”

“We came by rail. The choice of food was perfect. A smaller kettle would have been an advantage - to fit better under the tap. Also a larger coffee pot, so that it contained a 'top up'. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Thankyou.”
