Overall experience was amazing, staff was really kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and had great room service. This hotel is in the center of amazing historical buildings but like any downtown there will be sketchy areas. The Uber ping for this hotel drops you off in the bottom near homeless people, if you want to avoid that you should ping the corner restaurant (Los 7 Pozoles). This hotel is also next to a busy street so you will hear cars driving at all hours. On the plus side you will be located near so many stores and restaurants that those small issues wont matter, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I'm not sure why this hotel is rated "wonderful". The best things about this property are it's location value and staff. It is an older traditional Mexican hotel with friendly doorman, helpful staff and a decent breakfast buffet. The room was large ( 2 double beds, sleeps 4) Clean. Minimum coarse towels (one hand towel and two bath towels. No washcloths to be had. The mini-split remote was useless set at a constant 26, but the room was too warm and sometimes stuffy. TV remote was troublesome too. Also never take your room key with you when you venture out because it will be deactivated and you will have to come back down every single time to recover it anyway. The desk told us several different reasons for this from going too far from the property to being a security reason. Even though they never asked for ID to prove we were guests at all. Perhaps they recognize all their guests, but if your deactivating my key for security reasons doesn't it make sense to follow that all the way through and ask that I am the actual guest?
