Julie and Allan were incredible hosts! They were so personable and friendly and helped in any way we needed it. They made breakfasts to order and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect as it was very close to the center of town. We highly recommend booking with this lovely place!

A very pleasant, clean & comfortable place to stay just five minutes walk from the Minster & city centre. There is a homely feel to the place and the proprietors were both friendly & efficient. There was a good choice of breakfast items & the full English was superb. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel felt more like a homey, cozy bed and breakfast with a friendly and service-minded married couple who catered to our every need, with a smile. They treat their guests like royalty and knew everyone by name.

The City Guest House is a perfect place to for a short stay. Julie and Alan the owners were very welcoming and we found our room comfortable, spotlessly clean. A very good breakfast and buffet kept us going for most of the day.
