“We stayed for two nights prior to renting a boat for a week on the broads. Central location, close to everything which was a huge plus since we did not have a car. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots to do in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“The lodge has a lot of potential and is set in a beautiful, peaceful location that’s perfect for a quiet getaway. “Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

The room is very well presented and incredibly clean, bed was super comfy and bathroom was spotless and of a decent size. Paid extra for the Full English...

“Steve the bar manager was attentive and very helpful”

“Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again.”
