The rooms were clean and there was a nice breakfast set-up. However, the first night the temperature was in the 30's/low 40's outside and the heat didn't work. Initially the desk person tried to convince us that 1) we hadn't turned the unit on, then 2) we hadn't let it run long enough for it to heat up. The unit was definitely broken--we left it on all night and slept with multiple layers of clothing since we were so tired. The next day we were able to move to another room. Once I returned home I called the hotel and asked for a refund for the first night. It's almost been a week and there has been no movement on my request. The desk person told me initially I couldn't get a refund because, after all, I slept in the room. When I became more insistent he told me he had to talk to the manager about a "discount". I reiterated I was looking for a full refund. He told me he would get back to me after he talked to the manager. I haven't heard from him since.
